The fox skull is a take on the metaphor of the gift of life (memento mori). It’s suggesting that instead of the skull being a symbol of death, it is rather a reminder to live life to the fullest. The acorn displays strength and potential; letting the viewer know that it’s the same within each of us, regardless of the starting point. And the mouse…. Well, the mouse is just eyeing up dinner. It has little time for such egotistical thoughts
